What is the Export Promotion Center (CEI)?


The Center for Export Promotion (CEI) is the Nicaraguan agency in charge of promoting foreign trade. CEI ’s purpose is to increase and diversify Nicaraguan exports.

What studies does Trade Point offer to help an entrepreneur export?

Export feasibility studies:


Through self-diagnosis, these studies will help you detect whether your company can stand up to the challenges of foreign markets

Product profile studies:

These describe the worldwide behavior of the product you wish to export, and assess national and international trends.

Market profile studies:


You will obtain information about conditions in the export markets convenient for you to export your product: Economic situation, trade barriers, market size, distribution channels, commercial contacts.

Business profile studies:


These allow you to make decisions about how to position yourself in the market or country you aim your product at.

Export plans:

These will make recommendations for actions your company should carry out in a previously defined foreign market.

Export cost studies:

What are Nicaragua’s major exports and imports?

Nicaragua’s major exports are: green coffee, beef, gold, peanuts, shrimp, live bovines and small red beans.

Nicaragua’s major imports are:
crude oil and gas, medicines for human use, yellow corn, vehicles, hard wheat, pick-ups and concentrates for beverages.
